PISTOL STANDARDS

Overview:

Pistol Standards is a foundational course built to establish measurable performance and refine core pistol fundamentals. This training focuses on the “why” behind each technique—giving shooters the ability to diagnose their own performance, make corrections in real time, and build consistency under pressure.

Course Focus

This course is designed to move shooters beyond simply “making hits” and into understanding performance. By breaking down each component of the firing sequence, students develop the ability to identify inefficiencies, correct errors, and build a solid foundation for advanced training.

Gear Requirements

  • Functional pistol
  • Minimum of 3 magazine
  • Holster suitable for safe draw and reholstering
  • Minimum 500 rounds

PISTOL PERFORMANCE

Overview

Performance Pistol is designed to push shooters beyond foundational skills and into measurable, on-demand performance. This course emphasizes efficiency, movement, and disciplined execution—challenging students to operate at speed without sacrificing accuracy.

Course Focus

This course is built around performance standards. Students are evaluated against measurable benchmarks, learning not just how to shoot—but how to perform under time, pressure, and physical demand. Expect to be pushed beyond your current limits and leave with a clear understanding of where you stand and how to improve.

Requirements

This is a physically demanding course. Students should have a solid foundation in pistol fundamentals and be prepared for movement-based drills and sustained training tempo.

This course moves beyond basic marksmanship and focuses on performance. By isolating each element of the firing sequence, students develop the ability to diagnose problems, correct them in real time, and build a reliable foundation for more advanced rifle training.

CARBINE PERFORMANCE

RDS INSTRUCTOR

Overview

The Red Dot Instructor Course is a 4-day, instructor-level program designed to develop the knowledge, structure, and confidence required to effectively teach pistol-mounted optics. This course blends performance-based shooting with instructor development—preparing students to build, deliver, and manage structured red dot training within their agency or organization.

Course Focus

This course is built around instructor development—not just shooting performance. Students will not only meet performance standards but also learn how to run a red dot training block, coach shooters effectively, and deliver structured, measurable instruction. Throughout the course, students are expected to engage, teach, and refine their ability to communicate under pressure.

Evaluation

Students are evaluated on both shooting performance and instructional ability. The course culminates in a standardized live-fire evaluation, ensuring instructors can meet the performance standard and confidently administer it to future students.

PISTOL/CARBINE INSTRUCTOR

Overview

The Pistol / Carbine Instructor Course is a 5-day program designed to develop confident, capable instructors who can build and deliver structured firearms training. This course focuses on both performance and instruction—preparing students to teach effectively, manage a range, and develop shooters through measurable standards.

Course Focus

This course is built around instructor development—not just shooting ability. Students will actively teach throughout the course, receiving feedback and refining their ability to communicate, demonstrate, and lead training in a professional environment. The goal is to produce instructors who can confidently run a training program—not just participate in one.

Evaluation

Students are evaluated on both shooting performance and instructional ability. The course culminates in a standardized live-fire evaluation, ensuring instructors can meet the performance standard and confidently administer it to future students.
